In September of 2005, by the way of stock ownership convey, Wuxi Suntech Solar Energy Power Co., Ltd and Qinghai New Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd made financial contribution together to establish a solar energy battery encapsulation and production line with production capability of 50MWp after reconstructing. It is estimated to enlarge the production to 10MWp in 2007.
